How do I afford this??????

Let’s face it….dentistry is expensive and at Dold Family Dental, we can help lessen that financial “sting.”

Here’s one scenario: That tooth that has felt a little “weird” for a few months has NOW decided that it wants to become a rip-roaring, full blown tooth ache. What do you do? Call up your dentist (if you regularly have one) or ask a friend or family member for a recommendation or Google something about “dentist” or even look on your insurance list.  You get scheduled (hopefully the day that you contact them if they are open) and you find out that you need a root canal, a buildup and a crown on that tooth. If you have insurance, your out of pocket expense will likely be over $1000. If you don’t have insurance, you may be looking at needing around $2500 and if it’s been a while since you been to see a dentist, then there may be other teeth that need some work done too so that you can, hopefully, avoid that terrible tooth ache that you just experienced. You ask yourself, “How do I afford this?”

We see this situation all the time, whether its like the above where the tooth is able to be saved or if the tooth needs extracted and replaced with an implant. A patient who needs some actual dentistry done is usually asking the question, “How do I afford this?”

Most patients really want the best dental care that we can provide, but many times it’s that affordability issue that gets in the way. To help our patients with this issue, we have a few different payment options that can help paying for the dentistry that you want or need “easier to swallow.” (I know…that was a terrible pun)

  1. We have an in house, no-interest, payment plan that can spread out your cost between 3, 6, or 9 months. To utilize this plan, you have to put down 20% of your owed amount (this can be paid in cash, check, or credit card) and then provide us with a credit or debit card that we will use to automatically take payments out every month for the length of your chosen plan.
  2. We are partnered with Compassionate Finance, which offers customized payment plans that can spread your payment out for longer periods of time than our in house plan. All it takes to qualify is a active bank account and payments are taken straight from your bank account every month for the agreed upon amount of time. A down payment of a minimum of 20% is still required for this plan as well. This plan does have a fixed simple interest rate attached to it that is determined by a credit check. The credit check has nothing to do with you actual approval, so even if you have poor credit, you can still qualify as long as you have an active bank account. Get more info and even apply at compassionatefinance.com
  3. We accept and offer applications for Care Credit. This is a credit card that is accepted at various medical offices. To qualify, you have to be approved with a simple credit check that can be done either online at https://www.carecredit.com/ or here in our office.
  4. You can also choose to pay in full at the time of service with cash, check or credit card.

We have found that by offering this wide variety of payment options that our patients are able to get their dental needs fulfilled faster than the traditional method of having to pay your portion in full at the time of treatment. These methods also offer the ability to treat our patients in a comprehensive manner, rather than just fixing one problem at a time as money allows. Whether it be for something that comes up all of a sudden or for something that you have been wanting to do for a while, but just didn’t know how to pay for it (implants or improving your smile are usually what we hear). This gives, you the patient, an opportunity to get the treatment that you want and need done without worrying, “How do I afford this?”

Please give us a call sometime to get more info or schedule your appointment.
